Marla says that despite being a very pragmatic person, she’s convinced she’s going to win the lottery — and she has no idea why. She even factors in lottery winnings when paying bills and working on her family’s budget. Even though it makes her feel like a crazy person, she just can’t stop.

Marla says she has "no idea how I've gotten this into my head."
And yet she loves thinking about what she'd do if she won. "I would make sure my parents can retire and I want to gut my apartment," Marla says. "You think about all these things and it's just fantasy ... it's so fun."
And when someone else wins the lottery? Well, she feels as though they've taken her money.
